METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY

APPLICATIONS

Vanadium shows a strong affinity to carbon. Vanadium carbides which are used to form fine grains in hard-metal alloys are produced from our vanadium chemicals. This ensures for example the abrasion resistance of the small balls in the tips of ballpoint pens and allows the manufacture of very fine drills for the production of printed-circuit boards.

For an optimum release of heat in the master alloy melt GfE Metalle und Materialien offers different vanadium oxides.

For the manufacture of vanadium aluminum for the titanium alloy industry, the best quality vanadium oxide is used to meet the high demands of the aviation industry. The resulting alloys are used in the aerospace industry and in the manufacture of sports equipment (tennis rackets and golf clubs, bicycles and track rollers).

Through the use of our vanadium chemicals alloys with a special durability and elasticity are manufactured.
