Hydraulic powder presses are used globally in the manufacture of dimensionally stable components from powdery materials. GfE has several hydraulic powder presses (capability 15 t-100 t, in cooperation up to 1000 t) at its disposal. By using these presses blanks (for chromium copper contacts in vacuum switching systems), smaller targets from pure metal powders (e.g. tin titanium aluminum targets) and targets from oxidic powders (AZOY, TIRU, Ta₂O₅) can be manufactured.
