VANADIUM SOURCING
ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGIES
A matter of common sense – High purity vanadium chemicals from recycled residues
Today, vanadium is still predominantly extracted from
titanium magnetite ores and the resulting vanadium slag. However, vanadium is
being produced to a larger extent from oil residues, spent catalysts, ashes and
other residues, too.
GfE, with it's experience in the production of high purity vanadium
chemicals and vanadium alloys gained since the beginning of the 20th century,
soon recognized that the environment cannot withstand harmful effects from
large-scale processes and that natural resources must be conserved.
For this
reason, we have specialized in extracting our raw material from industrial waste
of power plants, gasifiers and refineries. Worldwide we are unique in 100%
recycling without any additional waste.
Our know-how also applies to the recycling of nickel, molybdenum, cobalt and aluminum. Therefore our recycling procedures are very efficient and close the material cycle.
For this purpose we offer the following:
- Worldwide purchasing oil residues with specific metal contents for treatment in our recycling facilities according environmental laws´
- Technical and administrational support for notifications
- Evaluation of residues regarding their potential applications
- Recycling processes according to the condition of residues
- Under special conditions: Licenses for treatment of all oil residues
- Engineering and construction of recycling plants
- Plant management and organization
Our aim is to work together with our customers in a partnership to achieve both environmental and economic goals.
